Hotel tips for Dandong
Xin'andong Hotel is a personal recommendation for Dandong if you want to experience the city on the Yalu River deliberately.
Xiangdong Hotel is another strong recommendation. Its location directly by the Yalu River is especially good, with a view across to North Korea and Sinuiju, the city opposite the Sino Korean Friendship Bridge. My tip: ask for a room with a river view.
Another positive point at the Xiangdong Hotel is the very well equipped fitness studio. If you are hungry and do not want to go out again, try the chili chicken. During my visit it cost fifty nine yuan, was delivered to the room for free and the portion was large enough for two meals.
